The bottleneck slide was originally used by blues singers in the Mississippi Delta and has been used in recent years in blues, country and rock guitar styles.

The Eddie Bell BottleNeck slide can be worn on any finger of the left hand, however most players prefer using it on the 3rd or 4th finder. If you use it on the 4th finger (pinky), you have the added possibility of embellishing the slide technique with normal fingering of the other three fingers.
